R&D TAX INCENTIVE CONSULTANT (GRADUATE)

We currently have a vacancy for a graduate R&D Consultant in our Sydney office. The Government Incentives team works closely together with clients in a proactive way, to ensure that from discovery to lodgement, R&D Tax Incentive claims are delivered successfully and with the highest level of technical excellence.

The R&D Tax Incentive helps financially support new knowledge generation by providing a generous tax offset to Australian businesses developing innovative products and new ways of doing things for the benefit of Australia.

This position will suit a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or IT graduate with an interest in technology and innovation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Building relationships and working directly with clients including CEOs, CFOs etc. located across Australia
• Analysis of documentation and evidence to ensure it supports the client’s R&D activities
• Preparation of and calculations for R&D documentation including project reports, R&D expenditure, R&D Application Form, and R&D Tax Incentive Schedule
• Research and review of industry/competitor activities for comparing R&D initiatives with current technologies in the industry
• Involvement in firm business development activities to help foster revenue growth

Skills and experience

• Tertiary qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or IT-related fields
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical ability
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts, familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proactive attitude and approach to problem solving
• Willingness to learn and desire to work within a professional environment
